A Guide To Hot Tub Supplies

What method of relaxation you prefer after putting in a long work day? I think it’s safe to say that a great many Americans had the couch or easy chair. The more active and motivated amongst us may head out to the gym for a little physical activity. While there are many ways to relieve that tension after a hard day at the office, one of the more soothing ways is in a nice bubbly hot tub. If you have ever spent any time in one you know exactly what I mean.

There’s just something about that hot water and those massaging jets pounding wailing away at your sore back muscles that brings great relief. Just talking about it can make you want to find a hot tub to jump into. Well, with owning a hot tub comes some responsibilities. For one thing you definitely have to keep it clean and sanitized. But you shouldn’t put too much concern into this because it’s easy enough when there are hot tub supplies that handle most of the dirty work for you.

I never really gave how to much thought until a few years ago. I remember browsing for homes my wife, when we found an absolute gem. I was really taken aback as how beautiful it was. This was it, our dream house. It was a nice family home in a safe neighborhood, and it even had a fenced-in back yard. Isn’t that everything you could ask for? Well, there are a few other things. Well, it got even better when I discovered that the house actually cam with a gazebo hot tub set up in the back yard.

I couldn’t believe. We had never counted on or even expected a jacuzzi, it wasn’t even on the radar. Oh well, it surely wasn’t a disappointment. Once I set my foot in that rumbling, jet infused bubble bath, I knew I was hooked. Can you believe that my wife actually asked me if I was clean before I got in? She can be nasty at times. Anyway, it wasn’t difficult at all finding hot tub supplies. Apparently many homes in Oregon had hot tubs so the demand was already there.

Much to my surprise I only traveled a very short distance from my home when I discovered a store that sold jacuzzis and hot tub supplies. After a short conversation with the clerk inside, I found out a little maintenance goes along way with a hot tub. Not really much of a surprise there is it? Just like anything else, you have to take care of it. Fortunately with the hot tub supplies I had purchased, I could care for an all with the things that I picked up. Probably the main thing is keeping the PH at the right level. This is done with chlorine and PH balancer. It is very similar to maintaining the swimming pool if you have ever done that. Therefore if you own a hot tub, make sure that you pay attention to that PH level. While hot tubs can be a great source of relaxation and plenty of fun, and a wonderful retreat from the daily chaos, you want to be sure to have the right hot tub supplies on hand in order to keep your jacuzzi sanitary and safe.

Foot Spa Detoxification, Based on the Work of Dr. Rife

Royal Raymond Rife was, perhaps, the greatest medical scientist of the twentieth century and yet, sadly, very few people have ever heard of him. He died of alcoholism in obscurity in 1971. Royal Rife was the inventor of the “Dark Field Microscope” and this he did in the 1920s. His “Universal Microscope”, magnified objects 60,000 times, and this made him the first man in history to view a living virus. Ironically most of today’s scientists using powerful electron microscopes are viewing dead bio-organisms, because the powerful electric field of their equipment kills the virus. Rife, a brilliant inventor was the “Father of Electronic Medicine”, which he used very successfully to treat cancer patients in his clinic in San Diego in the 1930s.He suggested cancer was a virus and was able to facilitate cures by killing the virus with an electronic frequency generator.

Aqua Detox treatment is based on equipment developed by Royal Raymond Rife in his hey-day back in the 1930s. It has however been updated to take into account more recent technology, by naturopath and homeopath Mary Staggs. Rife found, as we see with increasing frequency today, that toxins assault the body, and it seems the number of these are rising at an alarming rate. These poisons cannot be excreted effectively; as they build up they cause electrolyte imbalances within the cells. This accumulation prevents them from absorbing nutrients and effectively getting rid of waste. Iranian Doctor F. Batmanghelidj in his book: “Your Body’s Many Cries for Water” stresses the problem is further aggravated because most people drink far too little water. Thus dehydration and toxicity are the root cause of most of the congestive and degenerative diseases prevalent today.

“The Aqua Detox” foot-spa treatment requires the feet to be placed in a salt-water solution, as this is a good medium in which to produce an electric charge. The feet are selected as they contain over 2,000 pores. They are the end point of the lymph system and let’s not forget the entire blood supply passes through the feet given sufficient time. In more complex cases the “Aqua Detox” equipment, comprising two spiral shaped electrodes can similarly be introduced into a bath for full immersion. The electrodes produce a charge that resonates around the whole body, this balances the cells, and at the same time facilitates the release of toxins.

The treatment seems to re-balance the body’s energetic field and improves oxygen and other nutrients to the tissue. The client comes away with a spring in her step, usually reporting a feeling of overall well-being. GDV or “Gas Discharge Visualisation” photography shows a definite improvement in the client’s energy field when before and after shots are compared. There is however a warning. This type of treatment should not be used by people with pacemakers, if they are epileptic or pregnant. But reports are more than encouraging for everybody else.

Thinking Of Buying A Hot Tub Spa For Your Garden Or Outside Space

The traditional hot tub is built like a large barrel with wooden staves.
The water is usually still and circulated only for the purposes of heating and filtering.
The tub is often situated on wooden decking.
Wooden benches or a seat that forms a ring around the inner circumference of the tub is normally used for seating.
The tub is filled with water and is then maintained in much the same way as a swimming pool.
Some of the simple designs use chlorine as a disinfectant. More sophisticated designs use an ozone
generator, eliminating much of the need for purchased chemicals or manual treatment of the water.
The tub is heated electrically or occasionally by natural gas, propane and rarely these days wood fires.

Modern Hot Tubs and Spa
The modern style of hot tub is quite different from the traditional wooden tub.
These are often not so deep and are manufactured from fibreglass-reinforced plastic formed into shapes that provide a variety of seating levels within the tub.
Each seat is equipped with hydrotherapy jets that allows water to be directed at various parts of the body.
The water flow may also be aerated for additional effect and some or all of the jets may also
automatically move or rotate, causing the changing pressure of the water on the body to provide a
massage-like effect.
These tubs may be free standing, recessed within a surrounding deck or even portable .
Free standing or portable hot tubs are usually entered by climbing a few steps and then stepping over the side of the tub onto one of the seating areas.
Most people think that external plumbing is required with hot tubs, when in fact most units today are self contained and only need filling with water by a simple garden hose.
Spa hot tubs usually have a number of water circuits, with one providing heating and filtration and the others driving the hydrotherapy jets.
Computer with LCD controls are now common on the more expensive tubs with features such as different coloured lighting, sound systems and even flat-screen televisions with integral DVD players.
If you intend to buy a hot tub make sure that you use a reputible UK supplier.

Spa Etiquette - What You Need to Know

Spa-goers visiting the spa for the first time often need to know what is expected of them as they prepare for their spa experience. As the spa strives to provide the client with a tranquil and safe environment so too the spa-goer has certain expectations placed upon them. To make the spa experience as relaxing and enjoyable as possible here are a few simple guidelines to follow:

1. Book well in advance and where possible pick up a brochure from the spa that includes prices and treatments. Call 24-hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule.

2. Request detailed information on the type of treatment booked.

3. Ask about the therapist assigned to you. Do you prefer a male or female spa therapist? An often missed and important detail.

4. Wear suitable clothes and be prepared to undress according to spa treatment you have booked. Spa robes and slippers are provided for the comfort of the client and spa personnel are trained in proper draping techniques for complete comfort and privacy.

5. Arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to ensure you are calm and relaxed before the spa treatment.

6. Always alert the spa therapist to any current or chronic health condition that may need to be addressed before your spa treatment.

7. In consideration of the other spa clientele, cell phones and pagers are not a good idea in the spa - remember your there to get away from the stress!

8. Allow the therapist to advise and prepare you for the treatment you have reserved. As you relax and benefit from the spa treatment you will be sure to feel the stress melt away.

9. Everyone is different - so feel free to speak or not during your treatment. Share information and feedback on your personal comfort level or any sensitive areas on the body.

10. Relax you’re at the spa! Enjoy the treatment and reap the full benefits.

11. Take time as you prepare to leave the treatment room, however, remember there may be another client waiting to use the space.

12. Determine the tipping policy in advance and be prepared accordingly.

13. Let the spa personnel know if your experience at the spa was as expected. Your feedback is always appreciated.

14. Now is a good time to ask about any new products to take home. Scented candles or essentials oils will help you to enjoy the spa experience at home.

15. Remember the right way to spa is your way so always have good communication with the spa personnel and make the experience a relaxing and memorable one.

Hot Tub Covers and Hot Tub Chemicals

Hot tub covers

A hot tub cover is a very useful and handy invention and support accessory for any homeowner who would like to receive the best and most long lasting service from his home spa system. To make hot tubs energy efficient and to keep energy use to a minimum, it is important that heat does not escape it and the covers help to do this by insulating the hot tub efficiently.

Materials used in Hot tub covers

There is a lot of variety in the market today for the types and materials of hot tub covers and some companies even provide these free of cost when you purchase a hot tub. Some can be customized for you and there are still others waiting to indulge your need for something different by providing hand made covers, which you can design, and they can implement for you. A high quality vinyl spa cover will usually be treated with UV, mildew and cold crack inhibitors, which are used to attract sunlight and deter mold from building up on your cover. The advantage to a vinyl cover is that it is available in many colors and can add to the aesthetic appeal of your hot tub as well. These can be one to three pounds in weight or even larger ones for harsh weather conditions and prove to be very effective as vinyl is the strongest and most durable type of hot tub cover in today’s market.

Purpose and application

The advantage of a hot tub cover is that it protects your hot tub from both indoor and outdoor pollutants, depending on its location. Hot tub covers are available in many forms and features in order to ensure the most effective protection possible; each component well thought out for maximum contribution to the overall performance of your hot tub. A model that has locking mechanisms provides child and pet safety, as it is well known that every year thousands of children are killed or injured from accidental drowning in hot tubs. An easy access model is a good choice as the zipper has handles for convenience when entering and exiting the hot tub. As people spend a considerable amount of money on hot tubs so spending a few extra dollars to ensure its quality is a minor expense in comparison, especially when it affords them added quality for the hot tub and longevity too.

Hot tub chemicals

Hot tubs, like cars and gardens, too require maintenance and care from time to time to keep them working in good condition and there are a lot of products in the market today that help to reduce the use of harsh chemicals for the upkeep of hot tubs. The better brands of chemicals may cost more but one is assured of quality cleaning and repair when they are used for the hot tubs.

Chemical balance in the hot tub water

The hot tub is different from a swimming pool and therefore has different needs, so with the combination of high temperatures and ratio of people to the water in it, problems are bound to occur. There can be residual soaps, deodorants and other cosmetics apart from natural body oils and perspiration that released into the hot tub water can cause organic contamination. For this reason, it is important to use chemicals to maintain the right balance in the hot tub water and testing it periodically will increase the life of the home spa and the equipment used in the hot tub too.

Test Kits for checking the chemical balance in the hot tub

There are liquid test kits available in the market today that can be used for testing the chemical balance in the hot tub water but one must always check the expiry dates and follow the instructions of the manufacturer for usage and storage and clean the kit after each use as residual chemicals can falsify future tests. The water must be circulated before testing and the sample taken from a minimum 12 inches from the surface and read immediately using a white background. Precaution must be taken for doing this carefully as oils from your skin can make the results differ and so can test strips that have gone past the expiry date. All chemicals and test kits must be kept tightly closed as moisture can ruin the test strips and falsify results. It is very important to use the right chemicals and kits to protect and preserve your hot tub and keeping the chemical balance in the water correct is one major way of adding life to your hot tub; akin to feeding it so it stays healthy and offers you good service for many years to come.

Hot Tub Cover - Essential Accessory For Your Hot Tub

Hot tubs have become more and more popular nowadays as a great way to unwind and relax at home, and more and more people are installing hot tubs in their homes. Not only can you enjoy soaking in the hot tub, you can also gain some great health benefits. You can soak your trouble and stress away as the hot water helps relieve the tension in your aching body. You can also do simple water exercise or water aerobics in your hot tub, which is a safe and effective way of exercising and staying in shape.

Hot tubs are generally made from cedar, redwood and teak, and can accommodate as little as one and up to more than ten people. When making your purchase, make sure to buy your hot tub from a reputable hot tub manufacturer. As long as the hot tub manufacturer has a good track record is the best guarantee of quality and service.

There is a wide range of hot tub models for you to choose from, such as the portable hot tub or home spa, You will be faced with a diverse array of hot tub features, designs, specifications and accessories so it is a good idea to arm yourself with some basic knowledge on hot tubs before you decide on your model preference. The internet is a great place to search for useful information on hot tubs and the different hot tub models available on the market. Cost is an important consideration too when you decide to buy a hot tub, which depends on the construction, size and features of the spa you select. You should also find out the operating cost of the hot tub.

Once you have installed your hot tub at home, make sure to maintain it in good working condition as it is not a cheap investment. Most hot tubs should come with a hot tub cover as this is an essential and useful hot tub accessory to have. Hot tub covers help to keep litter and impurities out of the water. A hot tub without a cover may also be hazardous as younger children or pets may accidentally fall into the hot water. Hot tub covers also help retain heat in the hot tub, thereby lowering your heating bills.

It is important that you purchase a good quality hot tub cover. Make sure that your hot tub cover is sturdy and durable so that it can be used for many years to come. Also check that your hot tub cover is the right size and fits securely over your hot tub. Having a hot tub cover that fixes securely also helps in keeping impurities and litter out of the hot tub, and also traps the heat helping keep the water nice and hot.

After prolonged use, your hot tub cover may become waterlogged and ineffective. When this happens, the cover cannot insulate the heat very well. In that situation, it may be time to get a new cover. Understand that a hot tub cover can also become worn and wrinkled where it has been folded and unfolded once too many times. A wrinkle in your hot tub cover may also allow more heat to escape, so that it is no longer effective as insulation.

Home Spas How Affordable Are They

If you’re like most, you dream of one day coming home to your very own spa. You envision a world where you can leave the stressors of the day far behind and relax in peace and contentment until the telephone rings or the kids demand their dinner. Well, what can I say? Reality has a way of creeping into every dream.

As you can imagine, home spas can be found with a wide range of prices and options. A basic spa will cost you about $2,000, but you could easily spend $6,000 or more on a spa with extra features. If you want a spa that will clean itself and be warm and ready when you get home, you can expect to spend an additional $1,000 to $3,000 for the remote control system that will make it possible.

If you think you can’t afford price tags like these, never fear! You can finance it. Right now, it is possible to finance a spa for as little as $50 to $100 a month. Of course, you could spend a great deal more than that if you purchase the more expensive model. But if price is of major concern, keep in mind that an inexpensive spa will likely be just as relaxing as an expensive one. You should also consider the fact that you could get a lot of features with a more expensive model that you may never use.

Other financial concerns about owning a spa deal with maintenance and the cost of upkeep. Granted, owning a spa means that you will have to keep a ready stock of chemicals. But if you keep up with keeping your spa clean and checking the chemical levels, you will only need to use a minimal amount of chemical to keep everything in tip top shape. In fact, you can get a complete spa chemical starter kit complete with testing supplies for about $40.

Another area where you will need to spend money if you buy a home spa is on spa equipment. Again, these purchases will be minimal and can be spread out over the course of time. $20 here and $20 there will help you build up your spa equipment inventory in no time. You can also save money here by opting for manual tools instead of automated tools.

You can expect energy costs of about $7 per week for an average sized spa if you use your home spa for an hour each day. You can reduce these costs by using a spa cover or thermal cover and by only using the jets when you are in the spa. Reducing the temperature setting by 3 degrees also adds up to a great deal of savings.

The bottom line is this: You could realistically have a spa for $100 to $125 per month if you don’t have any money saved right now. If financing isn’t an option, you can quickly and easily save up for your dream spa. Simply put back $50 per week and you could be sitting pretty in your home spa this time next year.

The History And Health Benefits Of Hot Tubs

For many years, hot tubs and home spas were the exclusive luxuries of the wealthy. They were expensive to buy, expensive to operate and not very reliable. With the onset of better manufacturing and better materials, and lower prices, however, the popularity of hot tubs and home spas began to soar.

Spas Throughout History

History gives us many examples of spas being used as integral parts of life for many civilizations. The Romans are perhaps the most famous for their bathhouses, which became centers of social life and a common daily activity for the elite classes. Other cultures made use of spa-like hot baths as well, including the ancient peoples of China and Japan.

What did these civilizations know that others didn’t? Setting aside technological differences, some of the earliest spa enthusiasts appreciated the health benefits of using hot water to relax the body, open the pores of the skin, and generally promote better health. Cleanliness was considered healthful and a sign of prosperity - after all, you had to be pretty well off to afford the bath facilities themselves and to have the leisure time to partake of their benefits.

Hot Tub Hydrotherapy

As medical science has advanced, there has been an increased awareness of the benefits of hot tub hydrotherapy. Many medical conditions, injuries and other health problems can be eased or improved with regular hydrotherapy treatments.

For example, people with arthritis, multiple sclerosis, paralysis and other conditions that involve deteriorating range of motion benefit from time spent in a hot tub. The warm water helps ease aches and pains, while loosening joints and making them easier to move and keep mobile.

Joint problems, chronic back pain and other painful conditions resulting from injuries are also helped with regular hot tub hydrotherapy. Those seeking stress relief, general relaxation, and quiet opportunities for conversation commonly experience significant hot tub benefits as well.

Modern Spa and Hot Tub Hydrotherapy

Modern technology, materials and production processes make it possible to design and build home spas and hot tubs with highly specialized hydrotherapy features. These features are typically based on a combination of seating position, jet position and jet function. Let’s look at each of these aspects in turn.

Seating Position - Traditional hot tub seating was bench-style, typically in a round shape and at a uniform depth so that everyone sat at the same level in the tub. This made it challenging for people of different heights to fully benefit from hot tub therapy.

With the development of molded fiberglass spa shells came the development of different shapes and sizes of seats. Manufacturers began to include lounge seats, where the bather reclines in the water, as well as seats to accommodate bathers of different heights. Some also included deeper seats, designed to fully immerse the bather and allow placement of jets in specific positions for specific benefits.

Jet Position - Moldable shell manufacturing made it possible for the first time to place jets in nearly any position within the tub. Manufacturers began experimenting with placing jets in places where they would focus on specific areas of the body, such as the back, neck, shoulders, arms and legs.

The earliest jets were single-action nozzles with limited ability to adjust where they were aimed or the intensity of the jet action. This made it difficult to use them in positions where they would affect more tender areas of the body, such as wrists, forearms, ankles, feet and knees. As manufacturers developed more advanced jets with a wider variety of functionality, though, the technology of hydrotherapy advanced significantly.

Jet Function - Modern hot tubs and spas can be customized with a surprising variety of jets that range from multi-purpose to highly specialized. Buyers often are able to select exactly which jets to install in specific locations within their hot tub or home spa.

The most common types of jets available today include:

Swirl jets - water swirls in a circular pattern, with a massaging action that covers a wide area
Whirlpool jets - a large, round jet that concentrates pressure in a specific area
Mini jets - smaller than standard jets, they are often grouped together in clusters, especially in massage and therapy seats
Pillow jets - combines massaging action for the neck with a pillow designed to let the bather rest their head without going under water
Shoulder jets - positioned above the water line to focus attention of specific parts of the shoulder
Moving massage jets - this oval-shaped jet moves back and forth in a sweeping motion to provide pulsating therapy

The benefits of different jet types have grown substantially with the development of independent seating control. In older spas and hot tubs, one set of controls ran all of the therapy jets, but independent seating control allows each bather to control the strength and intensity of therapy in their own individual seat.

Hydrotherapy for Fitness

The latest technology in hydrotherapy involves using jetted tubs for fitness purposes. This new generation of home spas is elongated in shape and allows the bather to choose traditional spas functions or switch over to functions that allow for a vigorous workout. They are commonly referred to as swim spas.

A swim spa has powerful jets that set up a strong resistance current that allows the user to swim as if in a full sized lap pool. The elongated shape allows even the tallest people to stretch out into a full-length stroke and the center depth is such that even a full arm extension will not bump into the bottom of the spa.

Adjustable current jets make it possible to adjust workout intensity depending on the user’s fitness level, and increase intensity over time as the level of fitness improves.

Summary

Spas and hot tubs have been around in one form or another for centuries, but only in the last few decades have technology, materials and manufacturing improved to the point where a home spa is affordable enough and reliable enough to be within reach of most people.

Hot tub hydrotherapy is one of the most popular and effective ways to treat a wide variety of medical conditions, injuries, or simply promote relaxation and stress relief. Once you have experienced the benefits of a home spa or hot tub, you will wonder how you ever lived without one!

Men are asking for stress-relief and spas like Blue Water Spa of Raleigh, NC are listening.

Gone are the days that a man would walk into a spa and there would be looks of shock from other guests. At Blue Water Spa, in Raleigh, North Carolina, men make up approximately 40% of the clientele. Men are often introduced to the spa when a man’s wife or girlfriend purchases him a gift certificate. Other times, men can come in looking for the perfect gift for the lady in their life and find that they, too, could benefit from many of the spas offerings.

With men, the key to satisfaction is combining results and relaxation. To a man, the best possible treatment is when they feel extremely relaxed and stress-free, and then they look in the mirror and say, “wow.” Some say a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but one treatment every man loves is a foot fantasy treatment with hot stones and aromatherapy. This can be added to any treatment giving the experience of two therapists providing decadent relaxation simultaneously.

Kile Law owns Blue Water Spa in Raleigh, NC. The spa has been voted one of the top four medical spas in America by American Spa magazine and has been voted best day spa in Raleigh. Blue Water Spa provides relaxation and results for men and women.

Kile Law frequently contributes to plastic surgery and spa magazines. She is the winner of the 2005 Humanitarian of the year award in the spa industry and the 2004 ABBIES award for best editorial feature in a spa publication

Spa Filters Everything You Need To Know

Spa filters are one of the most important parts of the spa, although they are generally forgotten about. It is very important to change your filter on a regular basis, because that is what keeps bacteria, dirt, bugs, and all other kinds of nasty things out of your spa. The spa circulates all of the water through the filter to trap these contaminates. How often you change your filter depends on the type of filter you use, but normally you should replace it every year or two. Below are the three types of filters you can buy, however you should check with the manufacturer as to what type of filter they recommend you should use with your particular spa.

The most common type of spa filter is the sand filter. As the name suggests, this type of filter uses a specific type of sand (and gravel) to remove contaminate particles from your water. The only problem with a sand filter is that it will not remove all particles on its own. To help, you have to add something to the water to cause the smallest particles to clump together into bigger particles, thereby allowing the filter to remove them. You should also note that the sand in the filter should be replenished every few years of regular use. These filters must be backwashed to be cleaned.

The second type of spa filter is the cartridge filter. The cartridge filter uses a folded polyester mesh or paper material to trap the particles contained in the water. The more mesh that is used and the more folds used, the more thoroughly this type of filter cleans the water. You can often buy cartridge filters right from the manufacturer of your spa, or you can get filters made by third parties, usually at a discounted price.

The third type of spa filter is the Diatomaceous Earth filter. This type uses fine mesh AND Diatomaceous Earth (DE) particles (which is simply ground up fossils). This filter works the same way as the others, trapping contaminate in the mesh and DE. Some places have laws governing the removal of DE, so you need to take that into consideration. The DE filter has to be backwashed to be cleaned, and then a new coating of DE has to be applied to it.

To make sure the water in your spa is properly filtered, you should run it EVERY day for at least an hour. That way, even if you aren’t using the spa, the water is still being thoroughly cleaned.

Finally, to add to the life of your filter, you should make sure that all individuals using the spa are relatively clean before getting in. The more contaminates you put in, the harder the filter will have to work, thus shortening its lifespan. These contaminates may include hairspray, sweat, deodorant, hair, skin lotions, dirt, and even dead skin cells. In fact, people themselves are the major source of spa contaminates. Insist that those intending to use the spa shower beforehand. This can lead to a large savings on spa filter maintenance and replacement.

The Pleasures of Indoor Hot Tubs for People Living in the Big City

Isn’t it nice when after a hard days work at the office you go straight to a spa and have a dip into a nice relaxing hot tub? Drowning the day’s worries and tiredness, a hot tub is definitely one of life’s little joys.

It is a fact that most people living in the big city don’t have the time for this kind of luxury, except maybe for people who can afford to spend time at the spa. Most people take their work home to avoid getting work piled up on them the next day. Maybe this is the reason why they don’t find the time to relax.

Hot tubs are great. However, how can you install it when everywhere you look you’ll see buildings and not enough room outside your apartment building? You can’t even find the right place outside your building to place a hot tub amidst the tall buildings.

Outdoor hot tubs can be great in suburban areas where you have a lot of space and a lot of privacy. This is nearly impossible for city people who live in condo units or apartment complexes.

If you really want your own personal hot tub but you live in a condo unit or apartment complex where it is impossible to put a hot tub, you can still have your own by installing an indoor hot tub that you can use with comfort and privacy.

Unlike outdoor hot tubs, indoor hot tubs are placed, as the name suggests, inside your home. With enough space in your bathroom, you can certainly enjoy the hot tub experience right at your own abode. Another great thing about indoor hot tubs is that you won’t really need to redecorate the bathroom. This is because in outdoor hot tubs, you need landscaping and other things to make it look more interesting other than just a big bowl in your yard. With the indoor hot tubs, you just need to add little details in your bathroom, such as a flower vase or repainting the whole bathroom wall or placing a new kind of wallpaper to enhance the appearance of the hot tub and its surroundings.

You can even try and build a sun or moon roof to really enhance the experience of soaking in a hot tub.

Before you go and buy yourself an indoor hot tub, you may want to consider two things. First, you need to know where the indoor hot tub is going to be placed. Most won’t fit in a regular sized bathroom; however, you can redecorate a room to place your hot tub in. You should consider if the room could stand up to any dampness. If it doesn’t, you can try and renovate the room itself.

The second thing you should consider is if the floor can withstand the weight of the full hot tub you plan on buying. For this you need to consult a structural engineer to determine if your floor can withstand the weight of the hot tub. You probably don’t want the floor to break while you are in the hot tub.

Hot tubs are generally very large and can be very hard to fit through doorways. And, you should also think about plumbing. You need plumbing to put water in the hot tub and drain it as well.

So, if you plan on buying a hot tub, consider these things first before you set out on your quest for that relaxing bath. It may save you a lot of money and a lot of frustrations.
